Portfolio Requirements

A portfolio of work should be submitted as part of your application to the undergraduate courses in the School.  In general this will happen during your interview, although for international applicants who cannot attend an interview, they must submit their portfolio either electronically or send copies by post.  Portfolios sent to us cannot be returned.

Your portfolio is intended to demonstrate your creative potential, diversity, individuality and initiative and should consist of between ten and fifteen pieces of your own work and can include examples of:

Freehand sketching and/or life drawing; art or graphic work; paintings, collage or multimedia work; examples of design and technology workbooks and projects; photography; printing and/or textiles; photographs of models or sculpture; computer generated images and graphic work.

We want to see your creative processes, evidenced in initial sketches, experiments and development work through to finished pieces.

The above is not restricted to taught coursework, ie you can use hobbies/freelance work etc. You must be able to show creativity and evidence of awareness of contemporary art & design practice. We will also consider work in progress.

It is important that you inlcude your best pieces of work.
