Case study: Glassland Media

Russell Agro graduated in the summer of 2006 with a degree in Film and Moving Image. In 2008 he launched Glassland Media with his business partner Jamie Watson, a creative video production company which produces high quality videos for the business and broadcast markets.
In June 2008, Russell and Jamie were awarded the Business Start-Up Proof of Concept grant of £1000, to test the feasibility of their ideas. Glassland Media used this money for the creation of two websites to promote their services.
Their principal website promotes their core activity, which is highly creative and innovative video products;
“We provide a complete in-house service including script writing, filming, editing, DVD authoring and web TV broadcasts, said Russell.

Their second website is designed to host tours of properties online;

“This aspect of Glassland Media aims to provide a modern alternative to the established forms of property viewing” said Jamie.

In August 2008, Glassland Media secured an office in the Leeds Met Business Incubator. The incubator supports graduates and other entrepreneurs from across West Yorkshire in starting and growing their own business. It provides city centre office space at affordable rates to Leeds Met affiliates that have been trading for less than 36 months.

With a strong company ethos of high quality products and customer satisfaction, Glassland Media is becoming a reputable brand with a lot to offer their potential customers;

“We will always be there to offer creative guidance and solutions ensuring you end up with a final product you are completely satisfied with.”
