Success story: Kooji Creative

Katherine Moss and Johnathan Gallagher, Multimedia Technology graduates from Leeds Metropolitan University, decided to combine their skills to co-found their business Kooji Creative.

Kooji Creative started off in 2007 as a multimedia design agency that produced specialist flash websites, interactive media and graphic design.  Katherine and Johnny utilised the services of Business Start-Up in their early stages of business and were awarded the Proof of Concept grant of £1000 to test the feasibility of their ideas, as well as gaining invaluable support by attending the entrepreneurial summer school and one to one business advice sessions.

In 2009 Katherine and Johnny decided to continue expanding on their expertise working as freelance designers, and are now running Kooji as a community of creatives, made up of graphic designers, filmmakers, illustrators, painters, sculptors, animators, 3D modellers, art directors, creative technologists, writers, composers, musicians, educators, photographers, web and flash designers.

They have a shared passion for creativity in all its many forms and enjoy exploring new ways to express ideas and combine their collective imagination. Together they bridge the gap between the traditional and digital arts.
