Yvette Caddle
BA (Hons) Primary Education (leading to Qualified
Teacher Status)
Any doubts that Yvette Caddle had about becoming a primary school teacher were knocked on the head after her first school placement in her first year on her degree.
“Primary teaching is not easy, but as soon as I started to build a relationship with those children and notice their improvement, I knew that this was what I wanted to do”.
Yvette maintains that her degree aided her development as a trainee teacher by giving her useful advice on how to deliver successful lessons and to make the most of the resources at your disposal.
Yvette, from Grantham in North Lincolnshire, would like to build up her career in Leeds because “the environment makes it more challenging here.”
At the moment, Yvette would like to do supply work, but hasn’t
ruled out the possibility of becoming a maths teacher in a secondary
school.
