Why did you choose to study at
Leeds Met?

I wished to add some diversity to my education and expand my scope of learning. England is known to be a well-civilized and progressive country when it comes to education, so I could think of no better place to go.

Leeds Met has a very good reputation, especially in my chosen course, so I was elated when I received a place here.

Why did you apply for the scholarship?

I applied for the scholarship based on faith, trust and personal judgement of my past achievements. The money provided by the scholarship would go a long to helping make the dream of a British education come true.

Winning the scholarship was a fabulous achievement for me! I feel like I am an Ambassador for my family and my country.  When I won, I was astounded. I knew not many scholarships were available, so to win meant that I was considered to be among the top of my peers. Everyone I knew was so proud of me!

More than anything the scholarship has proved to be a motivational tool and it will keep me striving forth academically thoughout my time at Leeds Met, and beyond. This has been a real dream come true.

What do you think of Leeds/Leeds Met?

Leeds Met is a very sound learning environment for cultural diversity, sport, research and development. The lecturers are wonderful people and so helpful. In fact everyone at the University is so helpful and will bend over backwards to help you solve any type of problem.

Aspirations after graduation?

I hope to gain some experience working in the UK and of course, finish my degree. I would then like to return to Nigeria and use the valuable experience that Leeds Met has given me to help improve Nigerian business and education.
