Why did you choose to study at Leeds Met?
The UK is well known for its multi-cultural diversity, outstanding facilities and excellent academic and career opportunities. Leeds Met has a good reputation for sport courses having been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Coaching Centre for Excellence’
Why did you apply for the scholarship?
I really wanted to come to the UK to study but financially it was a little extravagant. So, I applied for the scholarship knowing it would ease the costs of studying overseas. I had to write an essay on what had been my major influences in life.
When I found out that I had won I was elated. This scholarship has made my first year easier by reducing the financial burden on my family and me and this was probably the key aspect as to being allowed to come to Leeds Met. My family were so very proud of me!
What has been your most rewarding experience so far since arriving at Leeds Met?
I have loved my course; it has just been amazing! It has given me so much motivation and inspiration for the future. I’d eventually like to get into the field of strength and conditioning or biomechanics.
