Scholarships and Fees

Details about individual course fees, fee payment and living costs for overseas students can be found on this page. If you are a student from an EU member state please go to the information at the bottom of this page.

More information about paying your fees is also available here
.

International Students

If you are offered a place on a course, your offer letter will contain details of your tuition fees.

A full list of the overseas tuition fees for new overseas students in 2009/10 is available here.

You will be expected to pay a minimum of 50% of your fees at the start of the course.
Payment of your fees can be made using the following methods:

  • cash
  • cheque
  • credit card
  • postal order
  • bank to bank transfer

We are also working to set-up an online payment facility. For more information please contact our Financial Services Office on +44 113 812 5950 or visit the Leeds Met Financial Services website.

In addition to tuition fees, we recommend students to budget for about £6,000 per year to cover other costs, including accommodation and living expenses.

Tuition fee discounts

You are guaranteed a 10 per cent fee discount when you pay one year’s tuition fees in full by 31 August 2010, (31 December 2010 for those commencing their studies in January 2011).

A 10 per cent discount is also available to Leeds Met graduates and graduates of partner colleges within the Regional University Network who choose to complete further study at Leeds Met.

Students from EU member states

If you are offered a place on a course, your offer letter will contain details of your tuition fees. Full-time tuition fees for students from EU member states for 2009/10 are £2,000 for most undergraduate courses and £3,300 for most postgraduate courses. EU students are not required to pay 50% of your tuition fees at the start of the course.

Like UK students, EU students have two options for payment of fees. Payment of your fees can either be made up front or you take out a non-means tested tuition fee loan from the UK government. For more information visit the DFES website.

EU students studying in the UK for one semester only will be treated as part-time students for fee purposes. Exchange students, including students on the EU's Socrates Erasmus programme, will not be charged fees.
Payment up front can be made using the following methods:

  • cash
  • cheque
  • credit/debit card
  • postal order
  • bank to bank transfer

We are also working to set-up an online payment facility. For more information please contact our Financial Services Office on +44 113 812 5950 or visit the Leeds Met Financial Services website.

In addition to tuition fees, we recommend students to budget for about £6,000 per year to cover other costs, including accommodation and living expenses.
