Social Programme

The social programme is fantastic way to meet and make friends with other new international students. You will also get the chance to see different parts of the UK and most importantly, to have fun! We would love to see you all at our events and for you to get involved! What have you got to lose?

International Party
The International Party will take place during the World Wide Horizons Festival, which will be occuring all over campus during the week of Nov 17-21. This is a great opportunity to find out how you can expand your own horizons through Leeds Met.


Leeds Met Buddies

Leeds Met Buddies

If you are finding it difficult to know who to turn to or get the information you need why not ask for a ‘Buddy’? Your Buddy will be a friendly face on campus and be able to help you adjust to university life and living in a new country. Your Leeds Met Buddy will be able to respond to your questions and signpost you to where you need to be or what you need to know! 


Student's union

Student’s Union

Leeds Met Students Union is just one of around 380 Unions in the country that affiliate to the National Union of Students (NUS). Leeds Met Students' Union receives funds each year from Leeds Met to help towards the costs of its representational functions – such as Student Advice.

Being a member of the SU also means you can join a sports club or society, get involved in volunteering with CALM (Community Action at Leeds Met), join the campaigns team, take part in Give it a Go and many more activities!

Would you like to earn while you learn, gaining valuable work experience and adding value to your student experience?Then visit our Jobshop! The Job Shop is Leeds Met's student employment service that helps students to find temporary or part time jobs and employers to find staff.
