ChinaVentures is administered by UniVentures International Limited, a member of the Leeds Metropolitan University (LMU) group of companies. LMU is one of the largest Universities in the region, with over 22,000 full- and part-time students.

The ChinaVentures programme forms part of the Regional International Trade Strategy and is part-funded by European Regional Development Fund. There are subsidies available of upto 40% for eligible companies against the cost of the accompanied visits to China (airfares, transfers in China, hotels, airport taxes)and towards the cost of translations, language workshops, cultural workshops, market information, legal advice.
