Leeds Met is committed to creating a Student Information
Portal, and has HEFC funding to help achieve this by summer 2002.
- CampusPipeline has been selected as the basis
of the Leeds Met Portal because it has the functionality so far identified
as important - a single authenticated log in, the ability to tailor
the interface to different users, the ability to link seamlessly
to a range of information sources (web site, WebCat etc.)
- An additional software product will be purchased
to integrate WebCT, Banner Student (Student Information System)
and CampusPipeline and other Leeds Met systems such as Library Management
System. The integration will allows course/module lists and enrollment
changes to be imported from SIS and grades and test results to
be exported from WebCT to the SIS database.
