WebCT is the single Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
recommended by the Learning Environment Evaluation Panel (LEEP)
set up by the LTA committee to explore:
- whether a single Virtual Learning Environment was advisable
- which of the three VLEs (WebCT, Blackboard and Learning Space)
already pre-selected (by the Web Learning Group) and piloted by
CES/LBS/HES would be the single VLE adopted by Leeds Met
Note:
Some confusion has arisen from the similarity of names of two software
programs:
WebCT and WebCat.
