Assessment, Learning & Teaching Reflections |
Thursday 15th December
At yesterday’s meeting of the Catalyst steering group, we discussed how best to fully activate this project, which is designed to be the hub of a learning community involving Leeds Met and partner college staff focussing on Assessment, Learning and Teaching (ALT). We piloted a web site at the ALT conference and have used participant feedback to refine our thinking on the site we aim to activate early in the New Year. Our plan over the next few months is to populate it with resources, original materials and links so that anyone wanting to improve their ALT practice or find out about innovations and pedagogic developments can use this as their portal of first resource.
Alongside this, in conjunction with Library and Information Services staff at Headingley, Harrogate and Civic Quarter we are developing resource rooms in which books, journals and other hard-copy resources can be made readily available to staff. Additionally, we are coordinating a range of events, including those publicised in ‘What follows?’ to provide discussion opportunities on featured topics. If you are interested in working with us, please consider putting your name forward to be considered for our steering committee, to shape the future of the project.
