Assessment, Learning & Teaching Reflections |
Friday 16th December
Yesterday’s ALT reflection featured Catalyst. In the New Year, this area of work will be much enhanced by the appointment of Ruth Pickford, a Leeds Met and National Teaching Fellow who will be working on a half-time, six months’ secondment to ensure the project’s success. Ruth would like to hear from you if you have ideas of further useful links or materials for the website, resources you would like to see made available in the three resource rooms and pedagogically-orientated events you would like to see organised.
A new feature in 2006 will be a series of international learning lunches, promoted by Teaching Fellow Dawn Leggott, designed to raise the profile of cross cultural capability and run by Leeds Met experts. The first of these will be at 12 30-2pm on Thursday. 9th March at Headingley campus and others will follow on 31st March, 3rd May, 9th June and 16th June: more details will be available in mid-January. Furthermore, the steering committee are putting in place a process to select other small-scale internal initiatives we can financially support to further the aims of Catalyst: we will publicise how you can access this funding in early February via these ALT reflections.
