Assessment, Learning & Teaching Reflections |

Teaching is core activity at Leeds Met, and the Funding Council use information from the Transparent Approach to Costing (TRAC) Diary Exercise to inform its teaching-funding method. We recently asked academic staff to complete the relevant forms and the submission deadline for 2005/06 has now passed. Thanks to the many who have submitted to date. However, the TRAC project team are still happy to receive late forms, accessible at:
http://www.leedsmet.ac.uk/fin/tr/formtrp.htm
We know this is a chore, but your contribution to the TRAC process is an integral part of our financial return to HEFCE. As an incentive, all participants who submit all three returns during 2005/06 will be entered into a prize draw to win an iPOD. The information you provide about how you spend your time will allow the university better to understand how we can accurately measure teaching costs. Our TRAC processes are subject to internal and external audits and the quality and quantity of returns are scrutinised to ensure the information supplied is fit for purpose. We were recently proud to be awarded Fully Robust Status (the best possible) by the Quality Assurance Team, so our self-calculated rates can be used in the full economic costing of teaching activities.
