What I Know Is Leeds Met.
Leeds Met University, like many others, displays a ritual of students applying, arriving, studying and graduating. Each individual brings, develops and takes an expanse of knowledge and experience of Leeds Met student life. What happens to their knowledge? Could it be used in blending learning with other students and students-yet-to-be? Wouldn’t it be useful if when approaching your first, second, third or postgraduate year of Leeds Met life you could learn from students already present or departed? Those who have already been faced with and solved the issues that now concern you. Discovering information such as ‘things I wish I had brought to university’, ‘accommodation tips’, ‘sabbatical stories’. Such things that could address the concept of a Time Machine, as Gill Harrison deliberated in a previous reflection.
An innovative project developed by Innovation North staff and volunteer students now allows this blending learning to commence. As the Freshers’ Festival 2006 went live so did The Leeds Met Student WIKI. Leeds Met students can now log on, learn from others and add their own ‘What I Know Is’ on numerous areas of Leeds Met student life, which is forever being updated. Visit the following site and blend your knowledge with others!
