Leeds Met's sporting partners
Leeds Rhinos and
Leeds Tykes are offering discounted match tickets to students
and staff. Events management student Sian Jones is working with
Leeds Rugby gaining invaluable course related experience.

Leeds Tykes
The
Leeds Tykes visited the Helpzone at Headingley Campus on Monday
25 April and the Helpzone at Civic Quarter on Tuesday 26 April.
The Tykes, who last weekend
beat Bath 20-12 to claim the Powergen Cup at Twickenham, will
be displaying the trophy during the visit. Amongst the players
attending Monday’s session will be Leeds Met student
and Carnegie Champion Tom Biggs, who played a starring role
in the
Powergen Cup final.
As part of the Tykes’ visit, students were offered the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets for their match against Harlequins on April 26 at Headingley Carnegie Stadium. Tickets will be available at the discounted rate of £5 per person on production of a valid NUS card.
Leeds Rhinos
The Carnegie World Club Challenge winning Leeds Rhinos will
also be visiting both Leeds Met campuses. The Rhinos
appeared at the Headingley Helpzone on Wednesday 27 April, and
will be visitng Civic Quarter Helpzone on Thursday 28 April.
Both sessions taking place between 11.30am and 2pm.
During their visit, the Rhinos will be offering staff and students the opportunity to buy discounted tickets for the Challenge Cup 5th round match against SM Pia on May 6. Students can purchase tickets at the discounted rate of 2 for £10, whilst tickets are also available to members of staff for £15.
