Goodwill to All
21/12/05
Leeds Met staff have been busy spreading seasonal goodwill throughout and beyond the university.
Cleaning staff generously donated prizes including a DVD player, Christmas hampers and much, much more for a raffle in aid of Candlelighters. They then toured the university corridors and offices selling tickets to co-workers to raise a total of £435 for the Leeds-based charity dedicated to combating childhood cancer, leukaemia and serious blood disorders. The charity also benefited from another £17 raised at a smaller raffle held during a PA’s networking event.

Library staff from all three campuses joined
in too, continuing their tradition with the Leeds Cares initiative, ‘Cares
at Christmas’. Nearly 80 Secret Santa gifts donated by
staff were delivered with the help of Facilities Management to

Development and the Harrogate and Area Council for Voluntary
Service. All the gifts will be passed on to the elderly in both
areas, ready to be opened on Christmas Day.
