Hospitable action
16/11/05
A group of final year hospitality students, who took part in the first Council for Hospitality Management Education (CHME) student conference last March, were treated to a night out when they attended a Hospitality Action fundraising dinner at Heathcote's restaurant in Leeds.
The students had previously entered a competition where there had been no winner and were awarded a £200 consolation prize at the dinner with which helped to pay for their evening.
The same students are organising the next CHME student conference and are looking for big names to present and support the event, which will be held in Leeds in March 2006.
Principal Lecturer Isabell Hodgson was very proud of the students
commenting: “The students were a credit to the Centre,
teaching staff and school. They networked as if professional
and managed to recruit restaurateur Paul Heathcote and Dick Turpin,
founder of COMPASS the world’s largest foodservice company,
for their event.”
