Students provide big draw for Briggate

As featured in the Yorkshire Evening Post,
BA (Hons) Architecture students took to the streets to find out
how Leeds’ residents would like to redesign Briggate, the
city’s best-known shopping precinct.
The challenge was held as part of The Big Draw, a day-long national event organised by the Campaign for Drawing, to demonstrate how drawing connects generations and cultures and makes us see, think, invent and act.
The third year students received a great response from the public,
especially children, whose redesigns of the pedestrian zone included
a zoo, theme park and ‘man-zone’ for respite from
shopping.
